Rocky Handsome is a 2016 Indian action thriller film directed by Nishikant Kamat. It features John Abraham and child artist Diya Chalwad in the lead roles while Shruti Haasan, Nishikant Kamat and Sharad Kelkar appear in crucial supporting roles. It is an official adaptation of the 2010 Korean film The Man from Nowhere. Co-produced by Abraham under his home banner John Abraham Entertainment in association with Sunir Khetrapal’s Azure Entertainment, the film’s story revolves around a man who sets out to take vengeance against drug mafia after they take away an eight-year-old girl, with whom he shares a special bond. The theatrical trailer was released on 4 March 2016, and the film released on 25 March 2016.

The movie is set in the middle of a city in Goa, where Kabir "Rocky" Ahlawat (John Abraham) lives a quiet life running a pawn shop. His next door neighbour is Anna (Nathalia Kaur) who is a drug addict and a bar dancer. She lives with her little daughter, Naomi (Diya Chalwad), who steals to fund her habit. Naomi develops a caring relationship with Rocky and calls him "Handsome" affectionately. Rocky gets attached to her too and she frequently eats dinner with Rocky despite her mother's disapproval. Meanwhile, ACP Dilip from the Anti Narcotics department of the police force wants to clear the drug businesses out of Goa and finds out that the main drug kingpin is Mantoo, who runs the entire Heroine business in Goa. He is supported by two powerful brothers, Kevin and Luke, who not only deal drugs but also control a mass racquet in organ harvesting and who have a professional assassin called Attila who carries out the brothers' commands. One night Anna and her accomplice plan to steal drugs from a consignment which is to be handled by Mantoo's henchmen Bigshow, and his local peddler. They succeed in doing so and Anna hides the drugs in a camera, which she pawns to Rocky. The loss of the consignment enrages Mantoo and he summons Kevin to his place and humiliates him, giving him three days to recover the sample consignment. A humiliated Kevin walk backs and calls his brother Luke to find out about the stolen drugs. Luke and Attila discover the truth and reach Anna's place where Luke tortures Anna and finds out that she has pawned the camera to Rocky. Luke sends Attila to recover the camera where he finds Bigshow and the peddler already fighting with Rocky for the possession of the camera. Rocky injures Bigshow but is obliged to hand over the camera to Luke when he tells him that both Naomi and her mother are his captives. Before leaving, Attila shoots Bigshow dead to frame Rocky guilty and leaves a cell-phone, indicating that Rocky will receive a call shortly from his bosses. Rocky gets a call from Kevin to make a delivery to Mantoo, and promises that in return he will set Anna and Naomi free. Rocky goes to deliver the drugs to Mantoo where he finds that police had already raided Mantoo's haven with a tip-off from Kevin. Kevin calls Mantoo and tells him that he is doomed and Kevin is the new drug lord of Goa. Mantoo runs away from his hideout and Rocky chases him, but he is arrested by police and they were shocked to find Anna's body with all her organs harvested in Rocky's car. Meanwhile, Kevin finds Mantoo and brutally murders him, taking all his organs.

Rocky finds and frees several child slaves in a drug manufacturing plant, and in the process, kills the younger of the brothers, Luke, with a gas cylinder blast. He tracks down the elder brother, Kevin, at the gang's condo, where a dozen gang members and Attila are also waiting. Kevin says that he has had Naomi killed and shows a container that has what he says are her eyes. He demands to know what happened to his younger brother, and, in a rage, Rocky kills the gang members brutally, including Attila. Kevin run away in his bullet-proof car but Rocky stops it and smashes the windscreen by firing multiple bullets. In the process Kevin is also shot and a bullet hits the leaking oil from the bullet-proof car. As Rocky prepares to commit suicide out of grief, Naomi emerges from the darkness. She had been saved by Attila, who took pity on her because she had been kind to him. It is then revealed that the eyes in the container belonged to the gangsters' surgeon, who had been killed off-camera by Attila. The police allow Rocky and Naomi to ride together after they arrest him, and, while she sleeps, Rocky asks if they can be dropped off at a small convenience store. Rocky buys a backpack along with other school supplies. He asks her if she could live alone for sometime till he returns. She nods. Before he goes, he asks her for a hug and breaks down in tears as they embrace.

Critical reception

Subhash K. Jha rated the film 4/5, writing " It would have to be a toss-up between ShoojitSircar's excellent political thriller Madras Café and now Nishikant Kamat's Rocky Handsome."[15] Bollywood Hungama rated the film 3.5/5, writing "On the whole, ROCKY HANDSOME is for people who like action films. Despite the film having a simple plot, it has been garnished with engrossing drama and action stunningly. One can find the right mix of tension, action, emotion under one roof. A well-made action thriller."

 Baaghi (English: Rebel) is an Indian action drama film directed by Sabbir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. It features Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles, with Sudheer Babu in a supporting role. Journalists noted similarities between the film and the 2011 Indonesian film The Raid: Redemption and the 2004 Telugu-language Indian film Varsham.

Movie Plot:

The movie starts with Martial arts champion Raghav (Sudheer Babu) kidnapping Sia (Shraddha Kapoor) from her film's set, eventually taking her to Bangkok. Sia's father P. P. Khurana (Sunil Grover) along with producer of the movie goes to each possible government offices for seeking help regarding the matter but no one is ready to help them, since Raghav is a powerful man. Khuraana knows that only man can now save Sia from Raghav, Ronny (Tiger Shroff). The movie then goes into flashback, where it is seen Ronny & Sia travelling in a train. Raghav is also travelling in the same train. Raghav eyes Sia & and ask his men to get her details. In the meanwhile, Ronny misses his train due to a misunderstanding created by Sia, causing her guilty. Ronny visits the school of Guruswamy (Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bharadwaj) in Kerala. According to a letter given by his father, Ronny's father believes him to be a Baaghi (one who never obeys anyone's order). Thus, asking Guruswamy to make him a good human being. Ronny there meets Sia. Sometimes later, they fall in love. Sia gives him a precious ring (given by her father) & asks him to always keep it with him. Meanwhile, Raghav asks for Sia's hand from Khuraana, who under a certain sum of money is ready to marry her daughter with Raghav. Later Khurana sees Sia's ring in Ronny's hand, & tells it to Raghav. Who believes to even kill Ronny if he didn't broke his relationship with Sia. Guruswamy hears it, and refuses Raghav to do it any cost until he's alive. Raghav later poison's & kills Guruswamy. Khuraana, along with Raghav arrests Ronny to police & knowingly bails him out so that Sia does not believes over Ronny who tells her the real drama planned by her father. Khuraana even injures himself & shows Sia, a duplicate of ring which she gave to Ronny. So that she may hate him.

Back in the present, Ronny reaches Bangkok. Along with the help of Harry (Sanjay Mishra), he visits a local fight club, & wins over the famous fighter Lord so as to get some attention. Next day, Some local goons chases him, and in an action-packed fighting sequence he wins over them to get the address of Viju (special man of Raghav). He breaks open into Viju's house & sets his wife at Point-blank range asking him the location of Sia. Ronny then visits the hospital where Sia is admitted by Raghav, & in the disguise of a doctor manages to get into the ward. Sia swoons a nurse, & in her disguise they both try to escape the hospital. They are caught by Raghav. But somehow they are successful in escaping the hospital. On there way back to India, Sia sees her ring still in Ronny's hand. Ronny then unfolds the real drama planned by her father & Raghav. They again fall in love. However, Raghav again caught them both, & Viju fires onto Ronny who falls into a lake.

However, sometimes later it is seen that Ronny is alive & returns, since no bullet was fired by Viju (as Viju believed Ronny to be correct in his place). Raghav kills Viju. Ronny is successful to get to Raghav. However, Raghav overpowers him. But when Ronny hears it was only Raghav who killed Guruswamy, he uses the tactics of Guruswamy, & in a jawdropping action sequence, he kills Raghav. Later, Ronny along with Sia visits Guruswamy's school where now stands a statue of Guruswamy in place of his seat.
